Helen Exner Bio
A classically trained pianist who evolved into a jazz-influenced singer-songwriter, Helen Exner moved in 2013 to the Fort Lauderdale area.  Prior to entering the South Florida music scene, Helen taught piano lessons and singing seminars, led church choirs, and performed for nearly a decade around the state of Wisconsin.

Her award-winning, nationally recognized original music touches listeners with its intimate lyrics, graceful melodies, and funky grooves.  She has written, arranged and produced nearly all of the songs on her three albums, with a new album due to be released in 2014.

Helen is available to play at your private event; for details, email her at  For testimonials about her past work, please read below.

“We booked Helen three times to entertain our clients for a dinner cruise on a riverboat.  She was a complete professional; punctual, well prepared and versatile.  Would hire again and again if she were in WI.”

--Tony Denk, CFP  (Winneconne, WI and Phoenix, AZ)

“You and your talent will be missed in Wisconsin. I have sure enjoyed your performances at the Shawano Folk Music Festival, as part of the Cotter Creek House Concert series that I organize, and at the various other venues where I have seen you perform. Please keep in touch and consider returning for a concert sometme soon.”

--Joel Kroenke, Cotter Creek House Concert series organizer (Shawano, WI)

“Helen is an amazing musician and has a rare ability to teach others while inspiring students to find their own style as Helen has found her own. Amazingly talented and can adapt to any situation! It was great working with Helen!”
